There are numerous darts games to help you beat the boredom. One of the most popular dartboard party games is Killer Darts.
Don't worry—with the name of the game, no one needs to worry about their health. The whole thing is much less harmful than it sounds and a lot of fun, too. In Killer Darts , several players can compete against each other and eliminate each other .
In this blog post we would like to introduce you to the different Darts Killer variants of the game in more detail.
The basic Killer Dart rules
The martial name "Killer Darts" initially sounds as if your life is at stake. Well, applied to the game, that's ultimately the case. The goal is to survive as a darts player on the board until all other players are eliminated .
In Killer Darts, you can initially compete with any number of players. However, experience has shown that it's a good idea to limit the round to a certain number of participants—for example , a maximum of 5 or 6 players . We'd like to explain the basic Killer Dart rules in more detail below:
- Take a piece of paper and draw three columns .
- In column 1 you enter the names of the participants .
- Column two, however, remains empty for a short time.
- In column 3, draw three crosses . These three crosses symbolize the three lives each player starts with at the beginning of the Killer Darts game.

Now each player throws at the board with their weaker arm . It's important that everyone throws until every player has hit a different square .
Because this exact field will become the player's so-called "survival double." You now enter this exact number in column 2 of your table. It might then look like the image below.

The game process in detail
The players then bully to determine who gets to start the actual dart game. Each player throws a dart at the center of the dartboard. The player who hits the bull's-eye or is closest to the bull's-eye wins the game.
The so-called killer in the game is the one who hits his own double square. In this example, Lukas would be a killer if he hits his double square number 9.
In the best case scenario, all players are "killers" after a round – provided everyone hits their double with their first shot. It's best to mark the names of players who become killers with a "K" after their names .

Anyone with the letter "K" after their name can now attempt to eliminate their opponents. Remember: Each player starts with three lives. The goal now is for you, as the killer, to hit the other player's double field. Ideally, three times to eliminate that player completely from the game .
After each hit on a double field, the corresponding player loses a life . Of course, it's also possible that, for example, three different players each score a hit in a double field, resulting in players being completely eliminated within a round.
A little bit of tactics , especially against the supposedly best player, can't hurt .
But don't gamble, because in the end it's all about you emerging as the winner.
For which occasions the Killer Dart game is suitable
We've now gone through the Dart Killer rules. So, there shouldn't be any unanswered questions. Like so many other games, the Dart Killer game is particularly suitable for certain occasions .
Since this game can only be played with several players , it's also a popular party game . With a bit of luck, even the weakest player can win, as they initially receive less attention than players you trust to be more capable, and who you want to "destroy" as quickly as possible.
Even darts pros occasionally play this game, especially when several players want to play together. Since a regular 501 darts game is usually only useful for two people, several players can play together in the Darts Killer game.
Darts professionals enjoy playing this game as a varied preparation , especially on the sidelines of major tournaments when the darts elite gather. It also plays at show events or dart exhibitions when several top darts players compete.
The different variants for Darts Killer
Killer Darts also offers different approaches to the game. If you're a complete beginner, you can even break the game down to singles in a group . This is, of course, a popular variation on boozy evenings . 😉
Infobox: The normal version on the double fields is, in addition to the fun factor, which is undoubtedly there, also a good way to seriously practice the double fields.
As a third option, participants can also agree to choose the professional version and play only on triple squares . We also consider this session a good training game.
However, for those who are looking for fun, you should choose the single or double variants . The triple alternative is more suitable for advanced players who want to continuously improve their skills.
Other Darts Killer variants
We already introduced you to the different Darts Killer variants at the end of the previous chapter. However, the game can be varied even further .
One option, if you 're playing with experienced players , is to start with more lives than just three . This has the advantage that the game lasts a bit longer and isn't over after just a few minutes.
Another variation of Darts Killer could be to steal the opponent's life . Here, players can not only delete the lives of others, but also gain them in addition.
To win the game, you have to collect all the other players' lives. This can take a while between two good players .
Blind Killer: a slightly different Darts Killer variant
This variation is probably the funniest and most interesting of Dart Killer. While the rules are very similar, there is one major difference: The killer doesn't know his target .
But first things first! Just like in the original game, in Blind Killer, each dart player is assigned a number . However, in this case, 21 darts are thrown into a container, each with the numbers 1 to 20 and the bullseye. Each player then draws a dart . The crucial thing is that the numbers are drawn face down and not revealed.
Depending on the number of players, additional numbers are drawn, which serve as " jokers ." Usually, one additional card is drawn per player. Since we're playing with four players in our example, four additional numbers are drawn and set aside face down.
A total of 8 different numbers or fields have now been drawn. If a neutral person is present, they write the numbers one below the other on a board, followed by the number of lives (normally, each number has 3 lives).
If no neutral person is present, you can simply open the remaining pieces of paper and write all the missing numbers on the board. This achieves the same effect, and no one playing knows whether the number—except for their own, of course—is a "wildcard" or assigned to a player. The players don't know their target, so to speak , hence the name Blind Killer.
