Who qualifies for the Grand Slam of Darts?
Special qualifications apply for the Dart Grand Slam 2022/2023/2024. Players can qualify through various tournaments .
Basically, the 8 best players in the PDC Order of Merit are seeded. There must be 16 players in total. If this is not the case because some players did not make it, the reserve list is checked to see who takes their place .
The winners of the European Tour events are considered first. Then come the winners of the Players Championship tournaments and, if necessary, players are considered according to their placement in the Order of Merit .

Who won the Grand Slam in darts?
Last year, Luke Humphries spectacularly won the 2023 Darts Grand Slam against Rob Cross. Humphries was in top form and Cross didn't stand a chance.
This first triumph for Humphries caused a huge sensation as he beat Cross 16-8 . He thus literally overran Cross.
But there was also a huge surprise the year before. Michael Smith won the 2022 Dart Grand Slam just as impressively and it was also his first title.
Not at a famous event at Ally Pally Darts , but in Wolverhampton, Smith met Nathan Aspinall and literally "flattened" him. Smith won the long-awaited major title with a score of 16:5 and was rewarded with the Eric Bristol Trophy.
9 darters and other top performances at the Grand Slam
In all the years of Grand Slam darts there have actually only been six perfect games . The first player was James Wade, who managed the 9-darter in 2008 against Gary Anderson.
It wasn't until six years later that Kim Huybrechts was able to play the perfect game against Michael van Gerwen. The very next year, Dave Chisnall managed a 9-darter against Peter Wright .
Then there was a break of three years until Dimitri van den Bergh managed to play the nine-darter against Stephen Bunting .
Josh Rock managed the fifth nine-darter in his debut against Michael van Gerwen. And the very next year Ryan Searle was able to boast a nine-darter.
